Exterior pressure washing service

OUR PROCESS

A straightforward route to a cleaner exterior.

Find out how we assess your surface and access requirements, prepare a clear quotation and agree the scope before cleaning.

HOW IT WORKS

A clear process from first message to final rinse.

We gather the right information early so scope, access and any surface limitations can be discussed before booking.

01

Send the details

Let us know the address or postcode, the areas to clean, material if known, approximate dimensions and any specific staining.

02

Discuss the surface

We may request photographs or an assessment where the surface is delicate, the area is large or access is unclear.

03

Agree scope and quotation

The proposed method, included work and limitations should be clear. Additional treatments or re-sanding are only included if specified.

04

Prepare for the appointment

We confirm suitable access, movable objects, water availability and any relevant site arrangements.

05

Complete and review

Once the work is complete, the surface may need time to dry before it can be assessed fully or any agreed aftercare is undertaken.

THINGS TO KNOW

A clean surface is not a repaired surface.

Pressure washing can remove some organic growth and dirt but cannot repair cracked slabs, failed pointing, spalling or worn finishes. Even after cleaning, certain stains may remain.

On block paving, jointing sand is sometimes displaced and may require re-sanding. Specific treatment or aftercare should be included only if agreed in the quote.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL

From an initial enquiry to a sensible plan

The precise steps depend on the material and job complexity, but there are a few points worth checking at each stage.

1. Start with useful information

Send the postcode, material, estimated area and photos. Mention damaged joints, loose boards, heavy staining, access restrictions or an existing finish such as sealant or paint.

2. Confirm what is practical

A surface may need closer inspection or a cautious test patch. Some materials cannot be treated safely with conventional pressure washing, and a quote should recognise that possibility.

3. Agree the exact scope

Clarify which areas are included, any preparation, the water and access arrangements, and whether extras such as block-paving re-sanding or subsequent surface treatments are included.

AFTER THE CLEAN

Understanding the result and what comes next

Some surfaces look darker while wet, and an accurate view of their colour may only be possible after drying. Existing wear, repairs and natural material differences can become more visible once dirt is removed.

Where cleaning disturbs suitable block-paving jointing, re-sanding may be necessary as an agreed additional step. Timber coatings and sealants have their own preparation and drying requirements and should not be assumed to follow every clean.

Routine sweeping, managing leaf litter and addressing persistent moisture can help maintain outdoor spaces. A wash does not fix defective drainage, cracked paving or unstable steps; those need separate attention.
